The soft glow of the fairy lights strung across the living room cast a warm, inviting ambience. Clara was nestled on the sofa, a fluffy blanket cocooning her, the latest Agatha Christie novel open on her lap. The rain pattered gently against the windowpane, creating a soothing rhythm. A small, flat package, obviously unopened, sat on the small table near the door. It was for "Mr. Silas Blackwood," a name completely unfamiliar to her.

She smiled to herself, the plot of the novel drawing her in. She’d always found the mystery genre to be extremely cathartic. Perhaps she'd leave a note for the new owners to contact the previous tenant. For now, the comfort of the blanket, the intrigue of the story, and the quiet of the evening were utterly perfect. She flipped a page and became engrossed in the text.
